Brand Department Manager
OVERVIEW:
This role is responsible for leading the development and execution of the Brand Pillar of our Flagship store, covering in-store activations, the sweat programme, footfall driving, customer engagement, and ensuring alignment with Gymshark’s global brand strategy. You will manage a high-performing team, and cover local marketing initiatives, and foster relationships with key stakeholders to maintain Gymshark’s cultural relevance.
This role will have 2 direct reports – Studio Lead & Events Floor Manager or Team Lead depending on the needs of the business.
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Team Leadership & Development: Manage and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and excellence. Ensuring alignment across all in-store brand pillars, including but not limited to events, localized marketing, the pro bench, the sweat room
- Brand Advocacy: Act as a brand ambassador for Gymshark’s culture, encouraging the team to embody and promote it.
- In-Store Brand Alignment: Ensure all in-store initiatives, including events, marketing, and product placements, align with Gymshark’s core brand pillars.
- Traffic & Engagement: Create and implement strategies to drive foot traffic, attract new audiences, and retain existing customers through in-store activations.
- Event Coordination: Collaborate with the Retail Events Manager to ensure in-store events align with global campaigns and are executed to the highest standard.
- Supplier & Vendor Management: Source and manage relationships with external suppliers, handling contracts and ensuring value for money in event/activation delivery.
- Project Leadership: Take ownership of event projects from concept to execution, coordinating internal and external teams for flawless delivery.
- Team Performance: Ensure events and store teams are meeting expectations and responsibilities.
- KPI Reporting: Report to the Head of Store and ensure activations align with wider store KPIs, driving performance.
- Activation Concept Development: Lead the concept development of local activations, ensuring cultural relevance and alignment with global creative strategies.
- Internal Communication: Work closely with the Retail Events Manager to communicate event plans and ensure alignment across the business.
- Cultural Relevance: Identify and implement opportunities for activations that maintain Gymshark’s cultural relevance, unlocking diverse localized audiences.
- Competitive Insights: Monitor competitor activations and industry trends to keep Gymshark ahead of the curve and appeal to the right audience.
- Budget Management: Manage and track the store’s event budget, ensuring projects are delivered within financial guidelines.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the store’s strategic goals, utilizing data to inform decision-making and improve results.
- Data Reporting: Collate and report data from each activation to assess performance and impact.
