Visual Merchandising Specialist - Amsterdam

OVERVIEW:

Working in our upcoming store in Amsterdam, you’ll play a pivotal part in bringing the Gymshark mission to life. Our community are our ‘family’, so we treat them as such. We don’t care if they buy, browse, or just hang out. What matters is providing a safe space where everyone belongs and feels welcome.

To thrive in this role, you must be passionate about the brand and our mission.  You must inspire, guide and encourage the team to create a great experience for all who visit and will be responsible for supporting our Visual Merchandising/Go To Market pillar.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Reporting into the Amsterdam VM Manager, and working closely with the Global VM Team, you’ll be responsible for the visual merchandising execution of the store.
  • Be a champion for all things ‘Go to Market.’ Anything customer facing needs to be implemented to the highest standard to ensure a seamless in-store experience for our community.  
  • Collaborating with the in-store visual team to inspire both customers and internal team with vision and trend setting. Pushing boundaries with styling and product displays. 
  • Ensuring you are always setting brand guidance to the highest standard and ensuring the VM guideline layouts are interpreted and implemented in the best commercial way for your store. 
  • Supporting the planning and execution of all VM layouts. 
  • Supporting the execution of window displays when required by the global team. 
  • Keeping on top of mannequin styling, ensuring outfits are to guidance and in line with current trends and showing Gymshark in the best possible way. 
  • Maintaining the POS and the store equipment. 


WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

    • Experience in a similar visual merchandising role.   
    • Experience of working in a fast-paced, high volume, agile environment. 
    • A passion for community, wellbeing and fitness. 
    • Highly effective communicator, written and verbal.  
    • Be a team player. 
    • You are comfortable shifting gears and spinning multiple plates. 
    • Must be able to take and give constructive feedback. 
    • You must be able to commit to working at weekends, bank holidays and overnights.
    • Full eligibility to work in the Netherlands, we cannot provide sponsorship for this role.

In order to comply with PCI-DSS standards (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards) which governs how we handle, store and access payment data, this position is subject to satisfactory results from necessary pre-employment checks, including a basic DBS check. This will be conducted at offer stage and covers unspent convictions only. In all cases we’ll always speak to you first and no offers will be automatically withdrawn.

As part of this role, there will be communication with our head office. Since our head office operates in English, we require our team to have a certain level of English proficiency to ensure clear and effective communication. This includes written and spoken English, as it is necessary for regular interactions such as meetings, emails, and reports. Please submit your application in English.
