Role Overview
We are seeking a Revenue Operations Business Analyst to join our India-based team and play a key role in delivering strategic technology initiatives across our global Revenue Operations function.
Reporting to the Senior Revenue Operations Manager, you will partner with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations and Technology teams to understand business challenges, facilitate discovery, and translate business needs into scalable technology solutions across our Revenue Operations technology ecosystem.
This is a Business Analyst role with a strong focus on Salesforce and Revenue Operations. You will lead stakeholder workshops, analyse business processes, develop solution options and produce high-quality business and functional requirements that enable successful platform delivery. Acting as the link between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, you will help ensure solutions meet business needs while supporting the continued evolution of our Revenue Operations platforms.
The successful candidate will combine strong Salesforce platform knowledge with excellent business analysis skills and a passion for improving business processes through technology.
Key Responsibilities
The Business Analyst will:
- Lead workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to gather, analyse, validate and document business requirements.
- Build strawman proposals and process storyboards to help stakeholders explore options, challenge assumptions and agree the best approach.
- Analyse existing business processes, workflows and systems to identify opportunities for improvement, automation and greater efficiency.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria that support successful platform delivery.
- Develop and present solution options, clearly explaining the benefits, risks and trade-offs of each to support informed decision-making.
- Produce high-quality documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, user journeys, business cases, technical specifications and gap analysis.
- Act as the link between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and delivered effectively.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Engineering teams and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
- Drive proof-of-concept (PoC) and proof-of-value (PoV) initiatives to test ideas, reduce delivery risk and support investment decisions.
- Support data integration initiatives across Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next and connected business platforms to improve customer journeys, data quality and business insight.
- Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve business processes, productivity and customer engagement.
- Use Jira and Confluence to manage business requirements, user stories, documentation and delivery activities throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and release planning to ensure solutions meet agreed business requirements.
- Present recommendations and solution options to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Build strong working relationships with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Operations and Technology teams across global regions and time zones.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes, systems and the wider Revenue Operations technology landscape.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- 2 to 4 years' experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar technology, CRM or business systems role.
- Experience leading workshops and gathering business requirements from stakeholders.
- Experience translating business requirements into functional specifications, user stories and process documentation.
- Experience producing business analysis artefacts including business requirements, process maps, user journeys, business cases, technical specifications and gap analysis.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence to manage user stories, requirements and project documentation in an Agile environment.
- Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders across different regions and time zones.
- Experience delivering CRM, marketing technology or Revenue Operations initiatives is desirable.
Salesforce & Platform Knowledge
Mandatory
- Salesforce Certified Administrator.
- Salesforce Certified Business Analyst.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud.
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next.
- Good understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including CRM, customer journeys, automation, reporting and integrations.
Desirable
- Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant certification.
- Experience with Salesloft, Highspot or similar Revenue Enablement platforms.
- Experience supporting Salesforce integrations with enterprise systems.
- Understanding of Revenue Operations and B2B sales processes.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate business challenges and recommend practical solutions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
- Strong written communication skills with experience producing clear, high-quality documentation.
- Proficient in Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, Miro, Visio, FigJam or similar collaboration and process modelling tools.
- Ability to develop and compare solution options, balancing business needs, technical feasibility and implementation effort.
- Strong attention to detail and an organised approach to managing work.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with global cross-functional teams.
