What we’re looking for

We’re seeking a strategically minded and analytically sharp Senior Business Analyst to join the Transformation Office. This role will be focused on driving innovation across the group by identifying opportunities where AI can be applied to enhance, automate, and reimagine business processes. You’ll collaborate with Business leaders and teams across functions to uncover challenges, explore the art of the possible with emerging technologies, and define high-impact, practical solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in Business Analysis, a passion for emerging technologies, and a natural curiosity about how AI can reshape the way we work. You’ll need to be comfortable navigating ambiguity, translating complex needs into actionable requirements, and guiding business teams through change. Whether working with the finance function exploring intelligent automation, or our People team looking to enhance our employee experience using generative AI, you’ll be a trusted advisor who can balance technical potential with real-world value.

Success in this role will require a combination of curiosity, structured thinking, and stakeholder empathy. We’re looking for someone who is as comfortable mapping out workflows and data flows as they are piloting a new tool or testing AI-enabled features within existing platforms.

If you thrive in environments where experimentation, iteration, and collaboration are key and are excited to play a leading role in shaping how our organisation embraces AI we’d love to hear from you.

Accountabilities

How you will contribute:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of the business to identify where AI tools — whether generative AI, machine learning models, or platform-embedded features — can automate tasks, solve inefficiencies, or create new value. Use suitable visualisation techniques to support clear, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Engage with business leaders and cross-functional teams to understand strategic priorities, gather requirements, and shape high-impact AI-enabled solutions. Confidently lead workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to define and refine problem statements.
  • Design and validate practical, iterative solutions by breaking down complex challenges into manageable, value-led initiatives with clear success criteria. Determine when to widen the scope of analysis or when to focus and prioritise efforts to drive actionable outcomes.
  • Translate insights and technical opportunities into clear business cases that influence decision-makers and support prioritisation. Communicate complex ideas with clarity, challenge assumptions constructively, and act as a trusted advisor across stakeholder groups.
  • Drive successful adoption and change by working closely with delivery and change teams to embed solutions within the business. Support pilots, track value realisation, and ensure end users are equipped and engaged through training, communication, and feedback loops.
  • Continuously assess and improve how the AI Enablement team delivers value, shaping our ways of working, feedback loops, and internal practices. Proactively identify opportunities to enhance team effectiveness, collaboration, and impact — helping to define what good looks like for a high-performing, trusted, and evolving function.

Experience, skills and professional attributes

To succeed in this role it would be an advantage if you possess:

  • Demonstrable experience in Business Analysis, including value stream and process mapping, business value identification and stakeholder engagement ideally within change, transformation or innovation led programmes.
  • Thorough understanding and experience of generative AI tools, machine learning concepts and AI-enabled capabilities within enterprise platforms, with the ability to assess and propose their relevance to business problems.
  • A proactive, questioning approach with the confidence to act independently and the curiosity to explore how things work today and how they could be improved with new technologies and smart design
  • Experience of when to propose splitting larger initiatives into smaller capabilities that deliver incremental value towards the strategic mission. Ability to recognise when analysis and investigations should go wider than initially expected and the experience to focus and prioritise their approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas into clear insights. Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to constructively challenge and play devil's advocate that results in trusted relationships to drive decision-making.
  • Experience of guiding teams through change with techniques to approach organisational sensitivity and the ability to balance ambition with pragmatism
  • Skilled at taking business challenges from concept to delivery—framing the problem, shaping options, validating solutions, and supporting implementation and adoption.
  • Experience of working effectively in fast-moving environments with evolving priorities, using agile, design-thinking, or iterative approaches to deliver impact.
  • A highly collaborative work style and the ability to successfully work in a team environment driving collaborative behaviours and psychological safety.
