Internal Communications Executive

Currently, we are seeking an Internal Communications Executive to join our world class Communications team. The Executive will report to the Internal Communications Lead and work closely with the global Communications team to help grow awareness of our business activities and success among internal audiences. 

The successful candidate will possess a unique mix of writing, digital and production skills and gain first-hand knowledge and experience working as an in-house communications professional for a highly-regarded, global brand in a fast-paced, exciting environment.


How you will contribute:

  • Curate, create, edit and share internal news and activities across variety of channels (from email, Slack, intranet, to townhalls, screens and events) 
  • Maintain and develop our company-wide intranet site to enhance knowledge and information sharing across the organisation (launching new features to drive traffic)
  • Manage our email distribution tool (including setting up templates)
  • Manage and develop our digital screen content and develop this medium 
  • Create a weekly internal communications newsletter and monthly Slack summary
  • Global coordination and management of internal events (including technical logistics) 
  • Assist with progressing Group goals around diversity, sustainability and charitable giving, as well as other ESG and CSR related activities  
  • Track and measure effectiveness of internal communications activities across all our channels, including open rates, click-through rates, event feedback and qualitative data
  • Draft announcements, articles or other communications content
  • Collaborate with colleagues on the Communications team on the internal rollout of major Communications programmes
  • Assist with the development and implementation of internal campaigns
  • Provide support for the global Communications team including department infrastructure and administration
  • Manage the internal communications roadmap/planner 
  • Manage distribution lists, where required, to ensure our channels have 100% reach 

The ideal skills for this role are:

  • Proactive, reliable, responsible and accurate with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written communication and editing skills
  • Understanding of basic web design and online content management systems (knowledge of the Lumapps intranet platform and Staffbase email management system desirable)
  • Knowledge of video production and editing is highly desirable 
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Possess the ability to keep information confidential
  • A self starter with a flexible, collaborative, positive and professional demeanour
  • Familiarity with the G-suite of tools, Slack, Zoom and Slido
  • Familiarity with Photoshop, InDesign or Canva and basic design skills is desirable
  • Ability to be a strong ambassador for the Communications team
  • An ability to operate in a global arena and work nimbly under pressure
