Are you passionate about developing people and sharing technical knowledge? Do you have the skills to turn complex engineering concepts into engaging, effective training?

At Terberg DTS, we're looking for a Technical Trainer to play a key role in developing our engineering workforce. You'll design and deliver high-quality training programmes, support engineers through their learning journeys, and help ensure they achieve both internal and external qualifications, including IRTEC certifications.

What You'll Be Doing

Delivering engaging technical training to engineers at every stage of their career journey.
Supporting engineer onboarding, refresher training, and ongoing development programmes.
Developing and maintaining training materials that are accurate, practical, and up to date.
Managing and supporting engineer accreditation and assessment processes, including IRTEC qualifications.
Creating structured learning pathways and training schedules for new starters during their first 12 months.
Working with subject matter experts to continuously improve training content and learning programmes.
Delivering technical training to non-technical employees to improve cross-functional understanding.
Providing training for customers at our Elland site and customer locations when required.
Maintaining training records, registers, and associated administration.
Promoting a culture of continuous learning, development, and technical excellence.

What You'll Bring

A recognised training qualification, such as the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET/PTLLS).
Excellent presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
Experience creating engaging training content and learning materials.
The ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and confidently.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
A proactive approach to learning, development, and continuous improvement.
Confidence engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable Experience

Experience delivering technical training within the automotive, engineering, or heavy vehicle sector.
Knowledge of engineering learning pathways and competency frameworks.
Experience supporting professional accreditations, including IRTEC qualifications.
Understanding of instructional design, process mapping, and adult learning principles.
