Sustainability Coordinator

Purpose of the role

Tekla is seeking a Sustainability Coordinator to join our team in Copenhagen. In this role, you will support our ambitious environmental and social responsibility efforts, working closely with the Head of Sustainability. As a key contributor to our evolving sustainability strategy, you will help shape the future of Tekla’s positive impact across products, supply chains and operations.

Key Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

Climate Action
  • Lead data collection to support the calculation of Tekla’s annual Company Carbon Footprint (CCF), in line with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, in collaboration with our external carbon accounting partner.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of decarbonisation initiatives across the business.

Supply Chain Traceability

  • Support with our product-level traceability efforts, collecting data to calculate Product Environmental Footprints (PEF) in partnership with our external LCA  and traceability service provider.
  • Collaborate with the E-Commerce team to integrate environmental data into product pages and share relevant insights with wholesale partners.

Product Certifications & Compliance

  • Ensure Tekla’s products and supply chain partners meet our high environmental and social standards, including managing product certifications such as GOTS and maintaining compliance with evolving criteria.
  • Manage Tekla audits in relation to product certifications, bringing attention to detail and some prior audit experience.
  • Support the vetting and onboarding of new suppliers in collaboration with Product Development and Production teams.
  • Contribute to research and implementation of innovative materials and production methods that reduce product impact and enhance sustainability credentials.

ESG Legislation & Best Practice

  • Stay informed on emerging EU legislation and ESG frameworks affecting the industry.
  • Support cross-functional implementation of compliance requirements, helping identify tools, partners and processes that support best practice and future-proofing.

We'd love to hear from you if you are/have:

  • 1–2 years experience in a similar sustainability role, preferably within textiles, fashion, or consumer goods.
  • Proficient in Excel and confident handling large datasets and conducting basic analysis.
  • Familiar with sustainability reporting and carbon footprint methodologies.
  • Experience working with certification standards such as GOTS or similar, and collaborating with design, production and suppliers.
  • Structured and organised with an interest in improving workflows, reporting systems (e.g. in Business Central) and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Clear, confident communicator with a collaborative and proactive approach.
  • Analytical, solution-oriented and eager to learn.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Comfortable working in an open-plan office environment.
