Art Director

Copenhagen, Denmark

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a highly creative and strategically-minded Art Director to join Tekla’s Studio, working as an integral part of our Creative team.

As Art Director, you will be responsible for developing and delivering compelling visual concepts across a wide range of touch-points, from seasonal campaigns and lookbooks to e-commerce, motion, and social content. You will play a vital role in evolving and safeguarding the brand’s visual identity, working in close collaboration with teams across Creative, Marketing, Product and Commercial.

Reporting to the Senior Art Director, you will take creative ownership of multiple projects simultaneously, balancing conceptual development with hands-on execution. This role requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and who can navigate the nuances of brand storytelling with both aesthetic rigour and strategic intent.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work alongside the Senior Art Director to drive the development and execution of campaigns, lookbooks, product launches, special projects and e-commerce imagery, ensuring all creative output aligns with Tekla’s brand voice and contributing to the ongoing refinement of Tekla’s visual identity.
  • Lead the visual development of Tekla’s e-commerce universe, overseeing the full production cycle of e-commerce and lookbook imagery, from concept to delivery, while collaborating with external creative teams to ensure the highest standard.
  • Support content creation across digital platforms, including the website, newsletters, social media and e-commerce, working with internal teams to ensure assets are relevant and optimised for each channel.
  • Drive research and ideation to support early-stage creative development. Identify references, photographers, locations, talent, and visual cues that align with briefs and the broader Tekla brand narrative.
  • Develop and own roll-out plans, working closely with Marketing, Product, and E-commerce teams to align creative output with broader business objectives, marketing calendars, and product stories.
  • Direct shoots and creative production teams — including stylists, photographers, DOPs, casting directors, set designers, and post-production partners.
  • Ensure assets are properly prepared, archived, and distributed for use across departments, with clear documentation and attention-to-file integrity.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • A strong background in art direction, with relevant experience in the fashion, lifestyle, and/or design sectors ideally at a premium or luxury brand.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates conceptual strength, a refined aesthetic sensibility, and an ability to tell stories through both still and moving images.
  • Experience overseeing complex creative productions, from initial brief through to delivery.
  • Excellent visual research skills and a curiosity for cultural trends, creative references, and artistic movements.
  • Strong verbal and visual communication skills, with confidence in presenting and articulating ideas internally and externally.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work fluidly across departments and disciplines.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, balancing shifting priorities with focus and finesse to meet deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Proficiency in relevant design tools including Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • Experience directing photographers, producers, editors, and other creative collaborators.

This is a full-time position based in Copenhagen, with a desired start date in August. Applications without portfolios or work samples won’t be considered.
