About the opportunity 

Teads is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. This critical role is responsible for the preparation, reconciliation, and analysis of consolidated financial accounts under US GAAP for our listed US company, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our global financial reporting across numerous international locations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in public company accounting and a commitment to process excellence.

Key Responsibilities: 

General Corporate Accounting and Global Close

  • Complete monthly BvA analysis and book appropriate accruals across cost of sales and professional fee accounts, working closely with FP&A teams to ensure alignment and completeness of the ledgers.
  • Prepare detailed balance sheet and other account reconciliations, ensuring they are properly explained and fully supported in accordance with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements.

Compliance and Control:

  • Ensure strict compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements in all accounting and reconciliation activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of timely monthly results and quarterly reporting packages, including variance analyses and presentations to senior management.

Process Improvement & Projects:

  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives, seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency and optimize workflows through automation.
  • Support complex business transactions, system implementations/upgrades, and other ad hoc requests and special projects.
  • Demonstrate awareness of and eagerness to adopt emerging accounting technologies, including AI and automation tools, to drive efficiency and enhance analytical capabilities.

Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative business partnerships with members of the global finance organization and key cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., FP&A, Tax, Legal, IT).
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of team processes and procedures to reduce the time to close and enhance management's financial understanding.

About You

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of PQE or 5+ years progressive finance/accounting experience.
  • Proven experience with consolidated financial statements, US GAAP, and SOX reporting is essential.
  • Experience working at the corporate level for publicly-traded companies.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and financial analysis skills, with a track record of providing decision support and financial leadership.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage time and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and analyzing ERP transactional detail (Netsuite experience is a plus).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.

Preferred

  • A mix of public and private accounting experience.
  • Experience dealing with multiple currencies and foreign exchange (FX) impacts, including currency translations.
  • Previous experience with system implementations and consolidation systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with process improvement methodologies.
