About Teads

Teads (formerly Outbrain Inc. & Teads S.A.) is the omnichannel outcomes platform for the open internet, driving full-funnel results for marketers across premium media. We partner with the world’s leading publishers and advertisers to deliver impactful, brand-safe advertising experiences.

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and bilingual Business Development Executive to help grow Teads’ partnerships with premium Japanese publishers. This role suits a candidate who is ready to take the next step in their ad-tech career — combining business development, relationship management, and operational execution in a collaborative, fast-moving environment. You’ll work alongside senior BD managers and cross-functional teams to expand our publisher network, support ongoing partnerships, and identify opportunities to integrate Teads’ video and content-recommendation solutions across multiple platforms.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the negotiation and development of partnerships with digital publishers, including outreach, proposal creation, and term-sheet preparation.
  • Develop a pipeline of new publisher leads aligned with Teads’ strategic verticals.
  • Conduct market research and opportunity analysis to assess partnership potential.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Japan Managing Director, Product, Supply PMs, Sales, and Global teams to ensure partner success.
  • Coordinate onboarding and operational follow-up for publishers, working closely with partner management and finance teams.
  • Participate in MBRs/QBRs and act as a key support contact for publisher needs.
  • Contribute to Teads’ demand-driven supply initiatives by helping align publisher inventory with advertiser demand.

What You’ll Bring

  • 3–5 years of experience in business development or sales, including 1–2 years in digital advertising, media, or ad-tech (ad network, SSP, DSP, or exchange).
  • Understanding of digital advertising models and publisher monetization.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and support deal execution.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Native-level Japanese and business-level English required.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with advertising technology, SDKs, or APIs (JavaScript/CSS) is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce or CRM tools preferred.
  • Proactive and results-driven, demonstrating strong ownership, time management, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative, with sharp attention to detail and a positive, solution-oriented mindset that fosters teamwork and continuous improvement.

Why Join Teads

  • Office directly connected to Akasaka-Mitsuke Station
  • Hybrid work style (office + remote)
  • English & professional skill-training support
  • Free drinks, snacks, and refreshments in the office
  • Mentorship programs and access to internal learning tools
  • Team-building activities, company events, and optional trips
