About the opportunity
We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will gain exposure to all core processes in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), supporting the financial operations of our business.
Beyond the classic tasks such as invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliations, you will also be involved in handling larger data uploads and system processes. Therefore, we are looking for a structured, detail-oriented person with an interest in working both with numbers and systems.
This is an ideal role for candidates at the start of their finance career who are eager to develop practical skills and build a strong foundation within a professional, international finance environment.
What will you do
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Prepare and issue client invoices in line with contract agreements and company guidelines.
- Post incoming payments and ensure accurate bank reconciliations.
- Monitor open receivables and follow up on overdue payments.
- Send reminders and support dispute resolution processes.
- Issue credit notes and invoice corrections as needed.
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Coordinate and execute supplier payment runs.
- Post supplier invoices and maintain AP sub-ledgers.
- Communicate with suppliers to clarify invoice or payment-related questions.
System & Data Handling
- Support with the preparation and upload of large transactional datasets (e.g., bulk voucher postings).
- Validate and review data for accuracy prior to processing.
- Contribute to improving system processes and maintaining data integrity.
General Finance Support
- Post daily bank transactions and assist with account reconciliations.
- Support month-end closing processes related to AR and AP.
- Assist the Finance team with administrative tasks and ad hoc requests.
About You
- Completed commercial training or business studies (e.g., Kaufmännische Ausbildung, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent).
- First experience or internships in finance, accounting, or administrative processes are an advantage.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in working with numbers and data.
- Comfortable with larger data volumes and administrative system tasks.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel; experience with ERP or accounting software is a plus.
- Proactive, structured, and eager to learn.
- A team player with good communication skills.
