Your role

We're seeking a People Associate for our people operations team. As a People operations Associate, you will be crucial in ensuring that we give an excellent employee experience at all stages of the employee's life cycle. 

 

Drawing on your proficiency in carrying out operational activities, assisting the team in scaling and improving internal processes, you will be responsible for executing daily people operations processes, administrative responsibilities, managing the database and preparing employee reports to create unique experiences only Tamara can provide. 

 

With a proven track record of human resource administration, management experience, proficiency in Microsoft office ,G Suite and ultimately revolutionize the way millions of users shop, pay, and bank.

Your responsibilities

  • Execute day to day people operations processes and administrative tasks to support various People functions across the People & Culture department
  • Provide responses to basic employment queries as well as direct employees to query specific experts within the department in a timely and effective manner, escalating issues as needed
  • Support onboarding & offboarding activities 
  • Responsible for data accuracy, data update and timely reporting from the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Conduct orientation of new hires
  • Manage Tamara’s people database and prepare people reports
  • Assist in implementation of employee experience initiatives 
  • Support organizing internal meetings, events and gatherings - including virtual and in-person retreats
  • Curate internal communications
  • Volunteer to be be part of projects that provide seamless experiences for employees in various change management activities

Your expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Administration, or any other related field.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be enthusiastic and have good English communication skills (oral and written).
  • Understand personnel files, have a basic understanding of labor legislation, and be diligent about responsibilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to handle administrative tasks.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, and explain internal databases.
  • Self-starter and not afraid of taking the initiative.
