Senior Go Engineer

For one of our highly regulated, technology-driven clients in the tax and compliance domain, we’re looking for a Software Developer (hands-on) to strengthen the our engineering team. You’ll work within a DevOps team on a complex, business-critical platform that sits at the intersection of application development and Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
This is a hands-on engineering role not a lead or management position.
What you’ll do
- Design, build, and maintain backend services with a strong focus on Go (Golang)
- Work on a complex, existing application within an enterprise technology stack
- Build and maintain integrations and connectivity with other internal applications
- Develop, deploy, and operate applications running on Kubernetes
- Create, maintain, and optimize Helm charts
- Take ownership of the full application stack (build, run, and maintain)
- Actively contribute to improving code quality, stability, and performance
- Collaborate closely within an agile DevOps team
- Act as an example in engineering approach, documentation, and professionalism
What we’re looking for
- Strong, hands-on experience as a backend software developer
- Solid experience with Go (Golang)
- Experience working with application integrations in an enterprise environment
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based applications
- Experience working at the intersection of application development and infrastructure
- Comfortable managing and operating production systems
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving mindset
Tooling & engineering practices
- Git, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, SonarQube
- IDEs such as VS Code or JetBrains
- Able to manage and optimize the full development toolchain
- Comfortable owning applications end-to-end in production
