Senior Developer – Node.js & .NET

For one of our major clients in the energy domain, we are looking for a Senior Developer with deep experience in Node.js and .NET, and a strong background in document processing and document management systems. You’ll help modernize and rebuild a core document platform that supports thousands of users across a rapidly evolving, data-driven organization advancing the energy transition.

This role requires a senior engineer who is comfortable across cloud-native development in Azure and AWS, enjoys working on scalable backend services, and can help shape a robust, future-proof document solution.

What you’ll do

• Design and build backend services, APIs, search capabilities, and document-processing components

• Develop a modern document management system within a focused, high-skilled engineering team

• Build cloud-native solutions across Azure and AWS, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security

• Deliver backend functionality in Node.js and .NET, aligned with platform and business requirements

• Assess technical approaches critically and contribute to solution architecture

• Work in a SAFe/Agile environment within a digital product domain

• Collaborate closely with colleagues in the EDS team, known for strong domain expertise and knowledge sharing

• Continuously explore new technologies, tools, and concepts to improve engineering quality and system maturity

What we’re looking for

• Proven senior-level experience in Node.js and .NET development

• 5+ years of experience working on document processing or document management solutions

• Hands-on experience building cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure and AWS

• Strong backend engineering capabilities, including API design and distributed systems fundamentals

• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of technical decisions

• Strong communication skills in both English and Dutch

• Experience working in Agile / SAFe environments

• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, collaborative attitude

• Experience with Python and Docker

• Familiarity with Git and Gitflow branching strategies

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform
