Basic-Fit - Azure//Linux Engineer

At Basic Fit Security we build and run the cloud & IoT platform behind Basic-Fit’s gyms across Europe. Our platform connects thousands of devices in clubs, manages video streaming, and runs machine learning services at the edge to keep everything smart, safe, and online.

We’re looking for a hands-on Azure /  Linux Engineer who enjoys being close to both the cloud and the hardware — from deploying services at scale to figuring out why a driver suddenly stopped working after an update.

What you’ll do

• Manage and improve our Azure-based cloud platform and Kubernetes clusters.
  
  
• Deploy and operate services on Kubernetes and Azure for our European club network.
  
  
• Build and maintain automation and CI/CD pipelines to make the platform more reliable and scalable.
  
  
• Manage Linux servers at scale, including updates, security hardening and troubleshooting.
  
  
• Help run and support IoT and edge workloads, including video streaming and ML services at the edge.
  
  
• Investigate and resolve second-line incidents, from platform outages to strange edge-device issues.
  
  
• Contribute ideas on architecture, reliability, automation, and security – and then help implement them.
  
  
• Keep runbooks and documentation up to date so the team and future you can work faster.

What we expect from you

• Strong experience in Azure & Kubernetes
  
  
• You’ve built and improved cloud infrastructure on Azure.
  
  
• You know how to run and maintain Kubernetes in production.
  
  
• You’re familiar with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or similar).
  
  
• Solid Linux & automation background
  
  
• You’ve managed Linux servers at scale.
  
  
• Experience with Ansible and Terraform (or similar alternatives).
  
  
• Comfortable scripting and automating repetitive tasks.
  
  
• Security-first mindset
  
  
• You understand what’s needed to build and operate secure cloud & IoT platforms.
  
  
• Security is part of your design and deployment decisions, not an afterthought.
