At ABN AMRO, we’re building the next generation of AI capabilities to transform the way we serve our clients and manage our operations. We are looking for strong AI Platform Engineers to help us design, scale, and optimize our Azure-based AI platform — enabling teams across the bank to develop, deploy, and govern advanced AI and GenAI solutions responsibly and efficiently.
As part of our AI Engineering & Platform team, you’ll work at the intersection of machine learning infrastructure, cloud engineering, and applied generative AI. You’ll collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and platform architects to deliver cutting-edge AI capabilities and shape the future of responsible AI within ABN AMRO.
Your responsibilities

Design, build, and enhance ABN AMRO’s AI platform on Microsoft Azure.

Develop and integrate Azure AI Services, Azure ML, and Azure AI Foundry components into scalable enterprise workflows.

Implement and maintain LLM gateways and agentic frameworks to enable AI Agents and orchestration across business domains.

Design and optimize RAG architectures — advancing beyond our current vanilla RAG implementations toward advanced retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) setups.

Collaborate with Databricks Mosaic and data engineering teams to ensure seamless model training and data integration pipelines.

Contribute to MLOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and governance of AI workloads in production.

Stay ahead of trends in AI infrastructure, LLM orchestration, and GenAI toolchains to continuously evolve our platform.
What we’re looking for

Proven experience as an AI / ML Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or MLOps Engineer.

Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure, including Azure ML, Azure AI Services, Azure AI Foundry, and related tooling.

Experience with LLMs, agentic frameworks, and AI gateways (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar).

Deep understanding of RAG architectures, vector databases, and LLM orchestration.

Familiarity with Databricks MosaicML, data pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.

Programming experience in Python and familiarity with modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.).

A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and a passion for enabling responsible, scalable AI adoption.
