Senior Java Engineer – Customer & Partner Service

Customer service is evolving rapidly, and our client is at the forefront of enabling seamless digital interactions through chat, phone, and email—backed by modern DevOps practices and intelligent workforce planning. We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join a cross-functional DevOps team that powers the integration between customer service agents, partners, and external contact center solutions.

Your Role

As a Senior Engineer, you'll help design and develop robust software systems using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot. You’ll lead projects, improve system architecture, and ensure smooth integration with external contact center tools. Your role also involves writing clean, maintainable code and guiding your team with a strong DevOps mindset.

You will:

• Take ownership of software design and delivery

• Lead the implementation of backend components and APIs

• Enable data integration with external platforms

• Collaborate closely in an agile Scrum environment

• Support and improve DevOps pipelines for deployment, monitoring, and testing

Platform Capabilities

The platform enables efficient handling of customer service interactions and internal workforce management. It includes:

• Real-time case retention and processing

• Data exchange with third-party Contact Center Software

• Insight and planning support for Workforce Management (WFM)

Tech Stack

• Languages & Frameworks: Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot
• Frontend (optional): Angular, React
• Databases: PostgreSQL
• Architecture: Microservices, REST APIs
• DevOps & CI/CD: Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines
• Infrastructure: Containerized environments, hybrid cloud

What You Bring

• 6+ years of experience in Java (and optionally Kotlin) software development

• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and relational databases (Postgres)

• Experience with system integration and software design

• DevOps mindset with knowledge of CI/CD and containerization

• Proven leadership in software projects and team collaboration

• Fluent in Dutch (reading, writing, speaking)
