Data Analyst II – Ways of Working Track
In the Ways of Working track, we’re looking for an experienced Data Analyst II to take ownership of data related to Booking’s internal systems. You’ll turn complex data into actionable insights that drive informed decision-making and operational excellence.
About the Role
As a Data Analyst you’ll lead analytical initiatives within your area, focusing on reporting, data visualization, and insightful analysis. You’ll collaborate closely with business stakeholders, translating challenges into data-driven solutions and helping shape strategies through thoughtful analysis and clear communication.
You will be expected to work autonomously with junior to mid-level stakeholders, prioritizing efforts for maximum business impact. You bring a practical understanding of both data and business concepts, and you adapt effectively to shifting needs.
Your work will be guided by a commitment to scalability, reproducibility, and long-term value — whether you're creating dashboards, building reports, or influencing decisions.
You’ll also be a key contributor to our data community, sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and driving best practices in data quality and stability.
Key Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end design and delivery of data analytics solutions, from idea generation to implementation.

Work independently to collect, clean, and prepare data; translate business problems into data narratives.

Use data to inform decisions within your team’s scope, with occasional collaboration across multiple teams.

Create intuitive, impactful visualizations and reports that translate complex data into actionable insights.

Identify and manage stakeholders, communicate effectively, and begin mentoring junior team members in stakeholder engagement.

Ensure your work is scalable, reproducible, and aligned with long-term business goals.

Validate your work through peer review to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Influence decisions within the track through thoughtful, data-informed recommendations.

Contribute to the broader data community by supporting initiatives that improve effectiveness, participating in recruitment, and building connections across teams.
Requirements

Experience working with data from tools like Jira, Confluence, GitLab, etc.

Proficiency in Python for data processing.

Familiarity with tools and platforms such as Snowflake, REST APIs, Airflow, and Delta Shares.
