Job Title: Senior Frontend Engineer

Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Our client is seeking a passionate Senior Frontend Engineer to join an ambitious team dedicated to building and maintaining global-scale features and applications.


The Team

You’ll join our client's team which currently composed of full-stack engineers, operations engineers, a product owner, and a customer journey expert. The team is responsible for the full lifecycle of the GRDM platform, which provides reference data shared across many systems.

To support an ongoing transformation of the frontend, we are looking to strengthen the team with an experienced frontend specialist.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create and support a safe, productive, and inclusive team environment.

  • Actively mentor others and support team development.

  • Continuously grow your own expertise while sharing knowledge with peers.

  • Maintain and support current platforms and services.

  • Contribute to a clear and achievable roadmap.

  • Act as a Blue Security Champion within your domain.

  • Improve and evolve the frontend architecture of the wider platform.


What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years in software development and engineering, ideally in Agile environments.

  • Deep experience with the NodeJS ecosystem, and staying updated on JavaScript trends and browser standards.

  • Solid foundation in vanilla JavaScript, semantic HTML, CSS, and WebComponents.

  • Familiarity with class-based component models (e.g., React Class Components or LIT).

  • Ability to design frontend-friendly API schemas.

  • Detail-oriented when working within established coding standards and practices.

  • Experience with build tools such as Webpack and Rollup.

  • Familiar with CI/CD tooling, preferably Azure DevOps.

  • Knowledge of deployment to CDN, NFM Feeds, release protocols, and security assessments.

  • Exposure to architectural patterns like SPA, SSR, and SSG.

  • Proficient in TDD, BDD, and tools like Mocha, Chai, Selenium, and Karma.

  • Strong technical communication skills and stakeholder engagement experience.

  • Excellent command of English (verbal and written).
