AI Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an AI Automation Specialist to join our client's team to drive the digital transformation of airport passenger services. This role will focus on developing and implementing AI solutions to enhance operational efficiency and streamline passenger services, working towards our vision of modernized, automated airport experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

AI Solution Development

• Design and implement AI systems to optimize service desk operations and reduce manual workload

• Develop predictive models for passenger flow optimization and resource allocation

• Create intelligent systems for proactive passenger communication and service delivery

• Build automated decision-making tools for baggage handling and passenger services

Technical Implementation

• Integrate AI solutions with existing operational systems and legacy platforms

• Collaborate on cloud migration efforts using modern cloud infrastructure

• Implement data mesh architecture with proper data governance and quality controls

• Develop scalable solutions that can expand across multiple passenger service touchpoints

Operational Excellence

• Work closely with ground operations staff across baggage, passenger services, and planning domains

• Analyze current manual processes to identify automation opportunities

• Ensure AI solutions maintain operational reliability and passenger safety standards

• Support the transition to more efficient, technology-enabled service delivery methods

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Partner with data scientists, software engineers, and business process analysts

• Coordinate with Data and AI office to establish governance frameworks for AI initiatives

• Work with product owners to align technical solutions with business requirements

• Collaborate across Flight, Ground, and Integral Planning platforms

Required Qualifications
Technical Skills

• Strong background in machine learning, with experience in both classical ML and generative AI

• Experience with cloud platforms and data migration projects

• Knowledge of legacy system integration and modernization approaches

Domain Expertise

• Understanding of airport operations, passenger services, or similar complex operational environments

• Experience with workforce optimization, resource allocation, and predictive modeling

• Knowledge of data governance, quality management, and compliance requirements

Professional Experience

• 4+ years in AI/ML roles

• Proven track record of implementing AI solutions in production environments

• Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholder management

• Background in change management and process automation initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Aviation industry experience or similar regulated operational environment

• Experience with roster optimization, baggage handling systems, or passenger flow management

• Knowledge of data mesh architecture and modern data platform design

• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and governance frameworks
