Senior Frontend Engineer

Job Description – Front-End Engineer (Design System)

Our client is looking for a Front-End Engineer to join their Design System squad. You’ll help build and maintain a component library used across 150+ internal teams, enabling developers to deliver consistent, accessible, and high-quality user experiences.

Your Role

You’ll work closely with UX, design, and other squads to deliver performant and accessible web components. You’ll take ownership of topics like accessibility or internationalisation, ensure technical quality, and collaborate on team-wide decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accessible, user-friendly web components.

• Own technical topics (e.g. a11y, i18n) and prepare implementation work.

• Collaborate with design and engineering teams.

• Safeguard quality by considering legacy, API consistency, and backward compatibility.

About the Team

You’ll join a cross-functional, collaborative squad with a flat structure. The team supports feature teams by providing tools, patterns, and components that align with company standards.

Your Profile

• 5+ years front-end experience.

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS.

• Experience with accessibility, testing, and CI/CD.

• Bonus: experience with web components (Stencil, Lit), Angular or React.

• Team player with strong communication skills.

• Fluent in English.
