🏢 About the Role

Bol.com is looking for a talented Python Developer to support the development of a simulation model that reflects the logistic processes within the Bol Fulfilment Center (BFC). This model plays a key role in driving strategic and operational decisions across the logistics landscape.

You’ll be embedded within the Infra Development team, working under the guidance of an experienced Lead Simulation Engineer. Together with analysts and concept owners, you will build a model that provides deep insights into complex warehouse and fulfilment flows.

🔧 Responsibilities

• Develop Python code based on defined specifications for the logistics simulation model

• Collaborate closely with the Lead Simulation Engineer on architecture, design choices, and coding practices

• Engage with stakeholders across data, engineering, and concept development to align on input and priorities

• Translate logistic requirements into efficient, maintainable, and scalable code

You’ll be working alongside:

• Lead Simulation Engineer – provides technical direction and mentorship

• Data Analysts – support the model with relevant input and analysis

• Concept Lead – defines model requirements and prioritizes development tasks

• Strong hands-on experience with Python development

• Ability to write clean, modular, and well-documented code

• Comfortable discussing architecture and design decisions

• Experience with simulation modeling or logistics systems is a plus
