Role Overview
ING is seeking a technically skilled and solution-oriented Oracle Developer Expert to join their Financial Markets & Group Treasury – Investing team based in Amsterdam. This is a high-impact role where you’ll contribute to the design and development of business-critical applications that underpin the Equities and Commodities trading platforms.
The ideal candidate will bring deep Oracle and Python expertise, a keen understanding of real-time transactional systems, and a passion for working in fast-paced, data-driven environments.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines and end-to-end data workflows.

Build tools to automate and monitor data processing.

Ensure systems meet stringent performance, security, and reliability standards.

Implement automation for data ingestion, transformation, and movement.

Conduct thorough testing and implement quality controls across systems.

Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation.

Collaborate closely with operations and development teams to ensure platform stability and performance.
Required Skills & Experience

Oracle Development: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience.

Python & Shell Scripting: 5+ years of experience.

Strong background in building real-time, transactional systems.

In-depth knowledge of data workflows, including ingestion, transformation, modeling, and storage.

Proficient in version control (especially Git).

Experience working in cross-functional, remote teams.
Preferred Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in the banking or financial markets domain.

Knowledge of Exchange Listed Products (a strong plus).

Experience with Java or C++.

Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
