About Tech4D&A

The Tech4D&A domain is part of Rabobank’s Engineering & Enterprise Tech division and serves as the technological foundation for our Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO). With platforms, tools, and data products at its core, Tech4D&A drives value creation across strategic themes such as Compliance, Customer Insights, Sustainability, and FEC (Financial Economic Crime).

You will join the Enterprise Data Products (EDP) area within the Tribe Data & Analytics Products & Transformation (DAPT) – a team focused on scaling Rabobank's data product development and creating high-value, future-proof solutions.

Your Role: Tech Lead

As a Tech Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering data and analytics products across Rabobank. You will lead several teams, enabling them to deliver secure, compliant, and high-quality solutions in a dynamic, enterprise environment.

Your leadership will ensure:

High-performing DevOps teams aligned with Rabobank's standards.
A safe, collaborative culture where innovation can thrive.
Seamless collaboration between onshore and offshore teams.
Scalable and sustainable engineering practices for data product delivery.

You will be at the heart of a strategic transformation, actively influencing how Rabobank becomes a truly data-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead multiple cross-functional DevOps teams (~30–40 engineers).
Drive agile adoption, DevOps maturity, and engineering culture.
Ensure timely and secure delivery of data products in compliance with Rabobank standards.
Collaborate with platform teams to align data product and infrastructure development.
Guide teams through transformation efforts and foster autonomy and accountability.
Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders on complex data issues.
Coach, mentor, and support the continuous growth of team members.
Identify opportunities for automation, innovation, and process optimization.

What You Bring

Experience & Skills:

Academic working/thinking level.
5+ years in a similar leadership role in complex Data & Analytics/IT environments.
Experience with software development, data engineering, and enterprise-level product delivery.
Strong understanding of DevOps, SAFe/agile methodologies, and Cloud-native development.
Background in managing offshore teams and vendor relationships.
Proven success in guiding teams through transitions and building high-performance cultures.
Familiarity with risk, compliance, and information security in a banking/regulated context.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Competencies:

Strategic thinker with strong conceptual and analytical skills.
Strong organizational and prioritization capabilities.
Skilled at navigating ambiguity and complexity with clarity.
Empathetic and inspiring leadership style – a true "coach of coaches."
Fluent in English (written and spoken); Dutch is a plus.
