About the Role

As a Senior Java Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and modernizing Java applications, working within a team of skilled engineers, database experts, business analysts, and QA professionals. Our systems are primarily Spring Boot-based, with some deployed on VMs and others on Kubernetes. We integrate with Postgres, Kafka, and have a growing focus on event-driven architecture with plans to move toward AWS cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and enhance Java applications to meet business and regulatory requirements.
Define and contribute to the transition toward a target architecture.
Support business analysts, database experts, and operations teams with technical expertise.
Continuously develop your own skills while improving internal development processes.

Tech Stack

Languages & Frameworks: Java 11+, Spring Boot, Microservices
Infrastructure: Kubernetes, VMs, AWS (future transition)
Databases & Messaging: Postgres, Kafka
Development & DevOps: CI/CD, Git, IntelliJ

Required Skills & Experience

✔ 5+ years of experience as a Java Engineer
✔ Strong background in Spring Boot, Microservices, and event-driven systems
✔ Experience working with regulated environments such as financial services
✔ Ability to work with both legacy systems and adopt new technologies
✔ Excellent communication skills in English (company language)
