Junior Analyst – Sustainability Consulting

Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Junior Analyst to join our consulting team. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that support the transition towards more sustainable economic systems.

The successful candidate will contribute to research, analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery across a range of sustainability topics. This position is ideal for early-career professionals who are passionate about sustainability, enjoy solving complex problems, and are eager to develop consulting skills in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research to support consulting projects.

  • Analyze data, market trends, policies, and industry developments across sustainability-related topics.

  • Develop insights and recommendations based on research findings.

  • Support the preparation of client deliverables, including presentations, reports, and workshop materials.

  • Contribute to stakeholder interviews, workshops, and collaborative problem-solving sessions.

  • Assist in project management activities, including workstream coordination and progress tracking.

  • Support the identification of innovative and scalable solutions to sustainability challenges.

  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to improve research, analysis, and knowledge synthesis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Agronomy, Economics, Business Administration, Public Policy, International Relations, or related fields.

  • Up to 2 years of relevant professional experience in consulting, sustainability, strategy, research, public policy, finance, or related fields.

  • Strong interest in sustainability issues, including climate, renewable energy, sustainable finance, food and land-use systems, circular economy, urban systems, and nature.

  • Fluency in English is mandatory.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Curiosity and interest in Artificial Intelligence and digital tools for research and analysis.

  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, or similar platforms.

  • Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL is considered a plus.
