We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Business Partner to join the newly created PMO team, which sits within the company’s Global Finance Team. This is an entry-level Finance Business Partner role, ideal for someone with existing experience in a finance role who is now looking to broaden their scope and develop skills across project management, financial tracking, and business support in a purpose-driven consultancy.

As a Finance Business Partner within the PMO team, you will work closely with the Financial Reporting Team, Grants Team, and Project Delivery Teams – based in multiple locations - to support the full lifecycle of SYSTEMIQ’s projects. You will contribute to project setup, staffing coordination, invoicing, and client-relationship. A key part of your role will involve maintaining accurate data in Kimble (Kantata)—our Professional Services Automation system—and helping to ensure smooth operational execution and reliable project reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Project Lifecycle Management

  • Support end-to-end project lifecycle: from pipeline, project initiation and resourcing, through extensions, close-out, and lessons learned.
  • Ensure timely and accurate project setup, updates and closes in Kimble/Kantata.
  • Monitor project progress, timelines, budgets, and risk flags in collaboration with Project Team
  • Coordinate staffing processes, including forecasting needs and aligning resource plans.
  • Collaborate with Delivery and Finance teams to ensure timely invoicing and financial reporting.

Finance and Business Partnering

  • Act as the primary PMO point of contact for at least two major Platforms, supporting project managers and partner with financial performance oversight.
  • Provide insights and support for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis at project level.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for operational decision-making, helping to optimize financial performance and resource allocation.

Data Entry & Systems Management

  • Enter, validate, and maintain accurate project and financial data in Kimble.
  • Regularly review data for inconsistencies and work with teams to correct any issues.
  • Generate data sets and performance reports for project managers & partners.
  • Support month end reporting, audits and compliance reporting by ensuring data integrity and traceability.

Required Skills & Experience

Professional Experience

  • Proven 3 years of experience in finance, operations, or PMO roles with a strong data and systems component.
  • Experience with data entry, report generation, and operational systems (e.g., Kimble/Kantata, Salesforce).

 

 

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel and Word).
  • Comfortable working with databases, spreadsheets, and CRM/ERP platforms.
  • Understanding of project management processes such as accounting, resource planning, and invoicing processes.
  • Proficiency in Kantata (Salesforce) and Xero is a plus.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including financial and technical concepts.
  • Customer-centric approach with a collaborative and solution-focused mindset.
  • Ability to operate independently and as part of a matrix team across geographies.

Desired Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Prior exposure to Kimble (Kantata), Salesforce, or PSA tools.
  • Experience in a purpose-driven, fast-paced consultancy or project-based environment is a plus.
