Position Title: Strategy Project Manager-Sustainability & Systems Change
Location: United States (New York preferred, will consider remote)
Salary range: $150000 – $220000 base, plus bonus & benefits.( Note: this range reflects national market data & your exact offer will reflect your experience, skills, credentials and work location. Starting at, or near the top of this range is unusual and reserved for candidates with exceptional, directly relevant expertise)

You will be part of Systemiq’s expanding U.S. team, joining a mission-driven group focused on driving system change to tackle the world’s most pressing sustainability challenges. We work across sectors such as energy, circular economy, sustainable finance, and food systems, collaborating with business leaders, policymakers, NGOs, and civil society to co-create impactful, scalable solutions.

Your Impact
As a Strategy Project Manager, you will lead high-impact sustainability projects, manage cross-sector collaborations, and shape strategic initiatives that enable systemic change. Your work will help redefine markets, drive innovation, and unlock sustainable growth pathways for clients and partners.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and oversee multiple workstreams, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
- Build and manage strategic relationships with stakeholders in business, government, and non-profits
- Design and implement data-driven strategies that integrate environmental, economic, and social goals
- Translate complex analysis into actionable insights and frameworks
- Mentor and support junior team members to develop a collaborative, high-performing culture
- Contribute to thought leadership through reports, tools, and public engagement
What You’ll Bring
- Education: Bachelors or Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., sustainability, economics, business, engineering, public policy)
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience, including demonstrated use of a strategy consulting toolkit — whether gained at a top-tier consulting firm or in a strategy role with similar project-based, client-facing work. You should be comfortable structuring problems, developing hypotheses, conducting analysis, and presenting recommendation
- Expertise: Strong understanding of sustainability issues and cross-cutting themes such as decarbonization, circularity, equity, and resilience. Direct experience working on climate or systems change topics is an advantage
- Systems Perspective: Exposure to complex, multi-stakeholder environments or system-level initiatives
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and guide cross-sector collaboration
- Analytical Strength: Strong quantitative and qualitative skills, with the ability to navigate complexity, synthesize insights, and translate them into actionable strategies
- Communication: Clear and compelling communicator — able to build narratives and influence across audiences using written, visual, and verbal formats
- Mindset: Purpose-driven and entrepreneurial. You thrive in a collaborative, agile environment and are excited to co-create solutions to complex sustainability challenges
- Language: Business-level or native fluency in English
