Academy Support - Working Student

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Company Description Systemiq is a system-change company committed to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement by transforming markets and business models in five key systems: nature and food, materials and circularity, energy, urban areas, and sustainable finance. As a certified B Corp, we combine strategic advisory with high-impact, on-the-ground work, partnering with business, finance, policy-makers, and civil society to deliver system change. With offices in Brazil, France, Germany, UK, Netherlands, and Indonesia, our team has grown to more than 380 people since our start in 2016. We are a pure-play sustainability-focused company, dedicated exclusively to sustainability projects.

What We Do Systemiq orchestrates system change in clean energy, circular material solutions, and sustainable land use. This involves re-imagining industries, re-configuring the energy world, and regenerating ecosystems to address systemic failures, unlocking economic opportunities that benefit business, society, and the environment.

What is the Academy?

“Building system change leaders” is one of Systemiq’s strategic anchors, with which we differentiate ourselves in the market. We believe that, ultimately, system change comes from people changing their mindset and behaviour, so Systemiq needs to build the capability to initiate and accelerate that process with distinctive knowledge, openness, and resilience. At the same time, we want to ensure a safe, supportive and challenging work environment to attract and nurture diverse system change leaders.

Over the past 3 years, we have been building the Academy – a platform to develop the mindset, knowledge, and skills, for system change leadership through applied learning for our staff. We have created a portfolio of trainings and learning opportunities ranging from introductions to our subject matter to extensive project manager trainings – delivered as self-studies, e-learnings, webinars, in-person workshops, or in a blended format. Some of these trainings are provided by the Academy team and colleagues from the business, others are sourced from external providers. The Academy has become a fundamental pillar shaping the work of Systemiq and our people.
