Analytical Technician - CDI
Who Are We?
Syntetica is a rapidly growing startup on a mission to decarbonize the textile industry through textile-to-textile recycling — starting with nylon.
Today, most synthetic textiles are made from crude oil, and less than 1% are recycled back into new fibers. We're here to change that. At Syntetica, we’ve developed a patented depolymerization process that breaks down nylon-rich textile waste into virgin-equivalent nylon monomers — while separating materials like elastane, polyester, and cotton for further recycling.
To date, we’ve raised >€7M from leading investors including EQT Ventures, the family offices of Peugeot and Etam, BPI France and Entrepreneur First.
We’ve already forged key partnerships with major textile players like Victoria’s Secret and ETAM — as well as leading fast fashion, sportswear and automotive brands — and have assembled a core team of 15 experts.
If you want to help bring truly circular materials to global scale — and solve one of the textile industry’s biggest sustainability challenges — come build with us.

You are a rigorous, hands-on analytical technician who takes pride in producing reliable data and understanding what it means. You thrive in a lab environment where no two days are the same, and you care deeply about data quality, traceability, and continuous improvement. At Syntetica your work will be central to our mission, as your measurements will directly inform R&D decisions, process optimization, and product qualification. You bring technical precision, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit to everything you do.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine and non-routine analytical measurements on process samples, raw materials, and final products — including HPLC, XRF, titration, NMR, FTIR, GC, electrochemical techniques — in support of R&D and process development activities
- Prepare samples rigorously, maintain calibration standards, and ensure full traceability of analytical results through structured recordkeeping using our internal data entry procedures
- Contribute to the development, validation, and documentation of new analytical methods as our product portfolio and process complexity grow
- Maintain laboratory equipment in good working order — scheduling and performing routine maintenance, coordinating with suppliers for servicing, and troubleshooting instrument issues
- Ensure smooth laboratory operation by contributing to inventory upkeep, chemical and consumable ordering, and safety compliance
- Support the qualification of monomer products against customer and internal specifications, contributing to certificates of analysis and quality documentation
- Invest in our company values and vision and champion them as we grow

- 2+ years of hands-on laboratory experience, ideally in an industrial, process development, or quality control environment
- Practical proficiency with ideally 3-4 of the following techniques: HPLC, XRF, titration, NMR, FTIR, GC, polarography, and aptitude for learning the others
- Comfortable with data processing and result interpretation; familiarity with spreadsheet tools and basic statistical analysis
- Rigorous, organized, and attentive to detail — with a genuine commitment to data integrity and reproducibility
- Familiarity with laboratory operations including chemical inventory management, EHS compliance, and routine instrument upkeep
- Working proficiency in both French and English is preferred to ensure smooth communication with an international team and local suppliers
At Syntetica, we are a dynamic group of individuals, united by a common mission, who believe our diversity is key to our success. We are committed to maintaining an inclusive work environment, dedicated to a policy of non-discrimination on any basis.
