Right hand to the CEO (Internship/Appreniceship)
Who Are We?
Syntetica is a rapidly growing startup on a mission to decarbonize the textile industry through textile-to-textile recycling, starting with nylon.
Today, most synthetic textiles are made from crude oil, and less than 1% are recycled back into new fibers. We’re here to change that. At Syntetica, we’ve developed a patented depolymerization process that breaks down nylon-rich textile waste into virgin-equivalent nylon monomers — while separating materials like elastane, polyester, and cotton for further recycling.
To date, we’ve raised >€7M from leading investors including EQT Ventures alongside the family offices of Peugeot and Etam. We’ve already forged key partnerships with major textile players like Victoria’s Secret, Uniqlo and ETAM, as well as leading fast fashion, sportswear and automotive brands, and have assembled a core team of 20+ experts.
If you want to help bring truly circular materials to global scale and solve one of the textile industry’s biggest sustainability challenges, come build with us.

WHO YOU ARE
You are a driven and curious student ready to get your hands dirty at the heart of a fast-moving deep-tech startup. As the CEO’s right hand, you will work across finance, fundraising, operations, go-to-market, and strategy — turning priorities into progress and ambiguity into clarity. You are equally comfortable diving into a complex financial model, structuring a sales process, writing a crisp investor note, and contributing to a grant application. You bring intellectual rigor, a bias for action, and the autonomy required to thrive in a high-stakes, resource-constrained environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and update Syntetica’s financial model, KPI dashboards, and cash flow tracking to support management decisions and investor reporting
- Research and map non-dilutive funding opportunities (BPI, ADEME, EU programmes, R&D tax credits) and contribute to the preparation of grant applications and subsidized financing dossiers
- Track submission timelines and reporting obligations for ongoing funding programmes, and liaise with public funding bodies as needed
- Support day-to-day company operations: vendor management, procurement processes, administrative follow-through, and cross-functional project coordination
- Contribute to go-to-market strategy: identify the optimal geography for Syntetica’s first commercial plant, weighing feedstock availability, regulatory environment, customer proximity, and competitive landscape
- Drive commercial prioritisation and path-to-offtake analysis: identify and rank target customers by strategic fit and volume potential, and map the steps required to convert pipeline relationships into binding offtake commitments
- Prepare board materials, investor updates, and internal strategy notes; contribute to competitive intelligence, market monitoring, and regulatory watch
- Invest in our company values and vision and champion them as we grow
BACKGROUND & SKILLS
- Currently pursuing a Bac+4/5 degree (Grande École, business or engineering, or equivalent university Master’s program), with availability to start a 6-month internship as soon as possible
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with financial modeling and Excel-based analysis; prior exposure to financial planning or accounting is a plus
- Genuine interest in deep-tech, climate, or the circular economy, you want to work on something that matters
- Rigorous, autonomous, and curious; you ask good questions and follow through without being asked twice
- Well-organized and practical approach to problem solving; comfortable with ambiguity and the pace of a startup, you identify what needs to be done and do it
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
- A first experience in a startup, investment fund, or consulting firm is a plus, but not a requirement
