Head of Marketing Planning & Retail

Reporting to the Marketing Director Belgium, you'll own two things that matter enormously to Napoleon's success: retail marketing across our physical locations, and the cross-department planning system that keeps our broader marketing engine coherent and moving in the right direction.

This is a senior leadership role that sits at the intersection of strategy and execution. You'll be the person who makes sure priorities, timing, dependencies and campaign logic are aligned across media, content, partnerships, brand, performance, retail and loyalty. We operate in one of Europe's most tightly regulated gaming markets, where advertising restrictions, deposit caps and the phase-out of sponsorship routes are reshaping the competitive landscape. Winning here takes more than reach, it takes clarity, coordination and sharp commercial thinking.

What the role involves

  • Own Napoleon Belgium's cross-department marketing planning system, including campaign calendars, review rhythms, decision moments and accountability frameworks that keep every team aligned.
  • Translate business priorities into a single, coherent marketing plan across departments, resolving conflicts, managing trade-offs and ensuring the overall plan is realistic and business-driven.
  • Drive alignment between marketing departments including media, content, partnerships, brand, performance marketing, retail and loyalty, acting as the connective tissue across all channels.
  • Own the full retail marketing strategy for Napoleon Belgium, covering our 18 gaming arcades and Napoleon Casino Knokke from strategy and planning through to execution, optimisation and reporting.
  • Translate brand, commercial and customer strategy into strong retail execution across physical locations, local activations, loyalty initiatives and retail-supporting online activity.
  • Work closely with the Retail Director and the leads of each marketing department, ensuring cross-functional priorities are understood, dependencies are visible and plans hold together end to end.
  • Lead, coach and develop your team setting clear expectations, raising the quality of output and treating people development as a core part of the job, not an afterthought.

What we are looking for

  • Senior experience in integrated marketing planning and execution across multiple channels, teams or customer touchpoints.
  • Proven track record of owning a marketing domain end to end, from strategy and planning through to execution, optimisation and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of retail or physical-channel marketing; experience in retail, casino, hospitality, entertainment or multi-site environments is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated people management experience, with the ability to coach direct reports towards stronger ownership and higher-quality output.
  • Commercially sharp, with the ability to connect marketing activity to business priorities, customer behaviour and measurable performance.
  • Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder organisations, comfortable aligning peers, leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communicator who can make complex plans clear and hold alignment across diverse audiences.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in a regulated industry, particularly one shaped by advertising restrictions or compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in French.
