Senior Paralegal - Contract

StubHub is seeking a Contract Senior Paralegal to be located in StubHub’s Atlanta, Georgia office. The position will report to StubHub’s NorAm Legal Department but will work closely with all of the members of the Legal Department, outside counsel and internal corporate clients.

Location: Hybrid (3 days in office/2 days remote) – Atlanta, GA

What You'll Do: 

  • Litigation
    • Experience with all stages of litigation, including use of litigation hold applications, discovery, modern e-filing practices, responding to subpoenas, and trial preparation activities—experience working at trial or arbitration proceedings preferred.
    • Primary responsibility for standard user disputes, including small claims, arbitration, negotiation of settlement agreements, and interfacing with customers.
    • Maintain and update standard litigation and arbitration forms, such as settlement agreements templates, response letters for common user dispute issues, and Excel spreadsheet tracker.
    • Interact with outside entities (e.g., courts, government agencies, expert witnesses, corporations, vendors and other law firms) to coordinate activities as needed in support of assigned cases.
    • Ability to work well under deadlines and pressure typical of complex modern litigation, investigation, and arbitration matters.
  • Corporate
    • Managing corporate agents and legal representatives within and outside the U.S.
    • Obtaining notarizations, apostilles, legalized documents, certified copies, corporate filings and other corporate documents as needed.
    • Work with outside counsel for filings, providing needed info from Accounting, Tax and Finance.
    • Preparing worldwide corporate structure charts and subsidiary lists.
    • Support other special corporate projects as requested, such as compliance inquiries, and a variety of substantive and administrative matters.
    • Filing for licenses and supporting government relations team.
  • Contracts
    • Compare vendor contracts with internal guidelines and/or with prior contracts highlighting inconsistencies, prepare initial drafts of form contracts.
    • Support periodic updates and distribute contract templates.
    • Support contract finalization including maintaining/updating signature authority, obtaining electronic signatures, counterpart signatures, etc.
    • Communicate department processes to business stakeholders and contract requestors.
    • Upload contracts into database and maintenance of database.
    • Experience with Docusign CLM or similar CLM tool.
  • Legal Ops and Other
    • Help develop and manage legal budget, and review and process invoices from outside law firms and vendors.
    • Provide project management assistance on various Legal Department initiatives.
    • Manage approval and signature processes for execution of legal documents.
    • Organize, track and file documents using electronic tools/databases.
    • Other duties as assigned.

What You've Done: 

  • 10+ years of highly successful paralegal work, with experience in litigation, contracts, corporate filings, legal ops or other relevant in-house experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, excellent attention to detail and follow-through, and demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Create workflows, if necessary, follow directions, and communicate clearly and proactively with all stakeholders to assure alignment on required steps.
  • High personal standards of excellence and sound judgment. Ability to communicate (both written and verbal) with individuals external and internal to the company at all levels in an appropriate and professional manner. Strong service orientation, sense of accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Fluency with SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, and preferably PowerPoint); experience with contract management tools like Docusign CLM.
  • Notary Public certification preferred.
  • College degree.
  • High energy and a strong work ethic.
