FinTech Analyst - Discounts, Gift Cards, Chargebacks & Refunds (StubHub, Inc., New York, NY)

 

Support the development and testing of new financial technologies and software to ensure compliance with user requirements, specifications, and scope. Create adjustment journals to remediate financial discrepancies by writing ad-hoc SQL queries and testing results for correctness and accuracy. Perform technical month-end close processes to assist the accounting team with close. Assist with FinTech test closes to User Acceptance Test (UAT) feature releases. Assist with all types of audits. Identify and fix gaps in FinTech processes and reconciliations. Reconcile transaction-level data between databases (e.g. Subledger to General Ledger) using reconciliation tools. Handle monthly reconciliations of General Ledger accounts and investigate bugs and discrepancies. Capitalize on opportunities for automation and increase self-service solutions across financial reporting and organizational tooling. Collaborate with engineering teams on designing and implementing those solutions. Develop relationships with and knowledge of payment services providers. Serve as subject matter expertise (SME) for coupons, chargebacks, discounts, refunds, and gift cards. Implement reconciliation tools to check for completeness and accuracy of subledger data. Migrate tables from SQL Server to Snowflake. Build new reports and dashboards in HEX and Tableau to show trends and abnormalities. Telecommuting may be permitted up to 2 days per week. When not telecommuting, must report to StubHub, Inc. at 3 World Trade Center - 175 Greenwich Street, 59th Floor, New York, NY 10007. Salary: $100,000 to $120,000 per year.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Finance, Quantitative Finance, Management of Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, plus 4 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Quantitative Analyst, or any occupation/position/job title involving the development and testing of financial technologies and software.

 

Must also have experience in the following: 4 years of professional experience developing financial reports using SQL (including SSRS); 4 years of professional experience analyzing and reconciling high volume and multi-currency transactions, as well as taking ownership of financial technology products and designing their scopes; 4 years of professional experience communicating with stakeholders regarding opportunities for automation and increased self-service solutions across financial reporting and organizational tooling; 2 years of professional experience creating visualizations and reports using Power BI; 2 years of professional experience with Financial Modeling in Excel; 1 year of professional experience using customer communication tools (including ZenDesk), task management tools (including Jira), and Google Drive; and 1 year of professional experience utilizing Tableau and JIRA.

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
