Compliance Analyst, Transaction Monitoring

About the Role

The AML Transaction Monitoring Analyst will be responsible for ensuring our business operations and procedures comply with local regulations and internal policies. You will be accountable for carrying out and enforcing prescribed AML related controls across the customer journey and ensure that the business is in compliance at all times.

What You Will Do 

  • Implement and enforce our programs for compliance areas, such as - Transaction Monitoring (Fiat and Onchain), Ongoing Monitoring, Transaction Screening and STR drafting.
  • Investigation and assessment of Onchain monitoring alerts flagged due to exposures to relevant bad actors
  • To perform Level 1 and Level 2 Transaction Monitoring
  • To ensure timely escalation of suspicious transaction / activity as well as aid in further investigations and STR drafting
  • Liaison between Operations, Customer Service and Compliance for escalations related to Onchain monitoring.
  • To draft Compliance recommendation to Business on select Onchain related escalations
  • Calibrate and optimize Onchain monitoring rules and procedures.
  • Design and provide training to junior analysts to ensure that the processes are implemented in line with expected outcomes
  • Conduct internal quality and control checks associated with the above processes
  • Assist in gathering of documents for Regulatory inspections/ other audits and visits
  • Design and execute appropriate training for staff in relation to compliance and financial crime
  • Handle ad hoc projects as assigned

What We Are Looking For

  • A Masters or bachelors' degree or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience of working in compliance within financial services-
  • Experience in the digital payment token space is a plus
  • Experience dealing with KYC (CDD, EDD), Financial Crime, AML or other areas of Compliance
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of business functions
  • Strong and effective communication skills, both oral and written English
