Full Stack Engineer - Payments

About The Role

We are seeking a Mid-level Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong focus on backend development. The ideal candidate will work on systems powering our Fiat and Stablecoin payment rails and their user interactions. Experience with financial systems and crypto is a plus. We value technical proficiency, strong communication, ownership, and the ability to work independently. While the role primarily focuses on backend development, any frontend experience would be beneficial.

What You Will Do

  • Drive backend feature development for Fiat and Stablecoin payment rails
  • Collaborate with product managers to understand and iterate on requirements, delivering on the product roadmap
  • Apply software engineering best practices to create clean, bug-free, and maintainable code
  • Ensure system availability and reliability through robust monitoring and maintenance
  • Provide feedback on architecture, assist in data-driven decision-making, and design scalable systems
  • Participate in code implementation, reviews, backlog grooming, and sprint planning
  • Optimise system performance and implement security best practices for financial transactions
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure smooth integration of backend services

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant backend engineering experience, proficient in languages like Ruby on Rails or Golang
  • Expertise in SQL and database design
  • Deep knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
  • Understanding of system design principles and experience with scalable systems
  • Proficiency in CI/CD concepts and version control (Git)
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and financial technology is a plus
  • Understanding of frontend technologies (React, TypeScript, or JavaScript) is a plus
