Position Overview
Reporting to the Express Sales Manager, the Agency Partnerships Associate owns Stitch Express’s ecommerce agency partner channel end to end. The role recruits and manages agency partners, enables consistent referrals, and builds the systems and automation to scale the channel efficiently. It works closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Onboarding teams to drive merchant acquisition and revenue growth through agency partners.

Key responsibilities
- Identify, recruit, onboard, and train new ecommerce and retail agency partners; build and maintain a healthy pipeline of new partnership opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing partners; create strategies and incentive programmes that drive merchant referrals through partner channels.
- Ensure agency partners remain informed about Stitch Express products and deliver enablement sessions, training workshops, webinars, and partner-facing collateral.
- Design, implement, and optimise automated workflows for partner onboarding, merchant referrals, lead routing, incentive tracking, reporting, and invoicing.
- Maintain CRM accuracy and build reporting dashboards that provide visibility into partnership performance and channel health.
- Work with Marketing to identify events, sponsorship opportunities, and ecosystem initiatives; represent Stitch Express at industry events and conferences.
- Build relationships across ecommerce agencies, Shopify and WooCommerce specialists, technology providers, venture studios, and industry associations.
- Drive merchant acquisition and revenue through partnership channels; manage the partnerships funnel, track referral conversion, and ensure referred merchants progress successfully through onboarding and activation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience.
- 4–6 years of experience in partnerships, channel sales, business development, account management, or ecosystem growth.
- Experience in ecommerce, SaaS, fintech, payments, or agencies is advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage external stakeholders and commercial relationships, with a track record of driving revenue through partner channels.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and commercial skills with excellent organisational and project management capabilities.
- Experience implementing systems, processes, or operational improvements; comfortable designing and running automation without relying on other teams.
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g. HubSpot), workflow automation tools (e.g. Zapier, Make), and ecommerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce) is advantageous.
- Existing relationships within the South African ecommerce ecosystem is a bonus.
