Associate Facility Manager

About the job:

We are looking for an Associate Facility Manager to join our growing Operations team. In this role, you’ll assist in managing day-to-day facility operations under the supervision of the site manager, focusing daily reliability, operations, maintenance, and safety of all building systems and infrastructure. You will support the management of contractors, ensuring that all critical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, safety, and security) operate efficiently and reliably. Your role includes planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance, managing utilities, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will serve as the backup for facility-related issues, coordinate with vendors and service providers, and support the organization’s operational goals by maintaining a safe, functional, and cost-effective environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of critical facility systems (e.g., HVAC, chillers, power distribution, BMS, EPMS).
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve facility procedures and processes to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
• Establish and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance programs, ensuring all activities are documented and tracked.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of in-house staff, contractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
• Respond to facility emergencies and coordinate incident response and recovery according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, incidents, and process improvements.
• Conduct regular facility inspections and risk assessments, updating procedures as necessary.
• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement by promoting best practices and process adherence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 1 - 4 years of experience in facility operations, maintenance, or a similar technical environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with CMMS or other maintenance management tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in developing and implementing operational procedures and processes.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with safety and compliance standards (e.g., EHS, critical works processes).
• Eagerness to learn and grow into a leadership position. 

Key Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with CMMS or other maintenance management tools.
• Experience in developing and implementing operational procedures and processes.
• Eagerness to learn and grow into a senior position.
