THE ROLE
The HR Analyst will be joining the global People Team providing vital support to the business in the APAC region. This role will be reporting into our London head offices but partnering with all business units in the region and will be the primary contact for the day-to-day HR queries from the APAC teams and triage for escalation when
The successful candidate will be involved with the following work as a core part of this position:
Generalist/Employee relations
- Stays up to date with employment law developments across regions in APAC in which we have employees
- Writes and maintains APAC HR policies for all relevant countries
- Manage the onboarding/ offboarding process for APAC new joiners, in line with the global standard
- Issue contracts and letters to new employees in region
- Maintain and manage HR filing structure for the region
- Support managers and employees with any employee relations matters that arise, including advising on legal aspects and best practices
Reward
- Benefits administration for APAC region
- Including the reviewing and updating of relevant benefits documentation
- Manages day-to-day vendor relationships
- Takes an active part in annual benefits renewal
- Checks and prepares payroll data for APAC region, including but not limited to: new joiners, employment verifications checks, first payroll checks
- Monitors market for changes in the reward practices and policies, contributes to the design of APAC compensation & benefits programmes
- Supports with benchmarking for salary ranges review in APAC
- Supports with the bi-annual compensation review. Assists with data audit, produces reports and provides analysis of results
Global HR Support
Our HR team is geographically diverse but work very closely together, this position will be joining as a part of that team and will be expected to contribute to, and support some global HR projects.
The role will be based in our Kuala Lumpur offices, however we have flexible working arrangements available.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We think candidates with the following attributes and qualifications are likely to succeed as an HR Analyst. at S-RM. Nobody checks every box—we’re looking for candidates that are particularly strong in a few areas, and have some interest and capabilities in others.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Prior experience working in a HR role is essential
- Prior experience in benefits administration is essential
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is essential
- Experience working in a global business/multiple jurisdictions (particularly in the APAC region) is highly preferable
- Demonstrable experience working with complex data in an HR setting will be required
- In this role you may be working without supervision, as such strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large quantities of data whilst maintaining accuracy will be key
- Strong numeracy skills
- This role requires confidence working with numbers
- Particularly beneficial for this position will be strong Excel skills
- Experience working with, and appropriately managing, confidential and sensitive data
This role would be the only representative for the people team based in the APAC region, as a result of that we would be particularly interested in candidates who can additionally demonstrate experience working unsupervised and with excellent organisational skills. Beneficial experience with this in mind would include:
- Direct engagement with multiple stakeholders through a business
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working as part of a geographically diverse team
- Flexibility – able to juggle workload in light of changing requirements and having the ability to handle ambiguity. Must be results oriented with ability to change priorities as needed.
Candidates must have permission to work in the MALAYSIA by the start of their employment.
