Senior Project Manager - 12 month FTC
The Cyber Advisory Senior Project manager is responsible for the efficient management of large and complex client-facing consultancy engagements and programmes. The role will suit a highly proactive, organised individual with excellent communication and management skills. The role does not require deep cyber subject matter expertise, but a good level of familiarity with cyber domains and disciplines is strongly preferred.
You will work closely with our clients to understand their challenges, lead project teams and oversee our consultants as they deliver innovative solutions across a full spectrum of cyber risk management and governance activities. Whilst not a technical cyber consulting role, the Senior Project Manager will work closely with delivery consultants and will engage with clients on a continuous basis during projects.
The Senior Project Manager will also contribute to the management of our Cyber Advisory team, people, operations and processes. This will include managing project resourcing, including working with cross regional teams on global projects. Line management responsibility for junior consultants will be allocated as applicable.
You will join a thriving Advisory Practice in which you will support the development of junior colleagues, drive improvement in products and services and contribute to Practice strategy.
Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manage complex consulting projects and programmes with a high degree of independence
- Manage client engagement, communication and project planning
- Analyse project requirements, identify and deploy appropriate consulting resources
- Support client workshops and information gathering in a non-technical role
- Work with client internal project teams, subcontractors and partners
- Understand and utilise the full range of S-RM’s people and expertise
- Manage quality control process for Advisory team deliverables
- Troubleshoot project constraints and blockers as they arise
Team Management
- Support the continuous improvement of project management processes within the Cyber Advisory practice.
- Keep practice internal systems and processes up to date
- Support team capability development and efforts to ensure that consultants are appropriately supported and exposed to a variety of developmental opportunities and projects
- Line management junior colleagues as applicable
Client Engagement, Account Management and Business Development
- Contribute to the expansion of client accounts and winning new business
- Identify market opportunities
Skills and Experience
Required
- Experience in a senior level project management role
- The ability to manage multiple demanding consultancy engagements simultaneously
- Very high level of organisational skills
- Very high level of written English and excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication and presentational skills
- Demonstrable ability to manage people and teams
- Permission to work in the UK
- Based in London, or able to travel to London regularly.
Strongly Preferred
- Previous experience in information security, cyber roles and / or technical domains
- Prior consulting experience in a cyber role
