Position Overview:  

 

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded People Partner to support our growing teams in South Africa and globally. This role will partner closely with managers, working with the Talent and People Manager to deliver efficient People support, ensure compliance with local labour laws, and drive impactful people initiatives.

 

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment and enjoys delivering compliant people support as well as important people initiatives as part of a global people team.

 

Responsibilities:  

 

People Administration

  • Manage day-to-day people administration including updating data across HR systems, supporting benefits such as Medical aid, pension and payroll inputs where required.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes

 

Employee Relations

  • Act as a first point of contact for employee relations matters
  • Support ER cases including performance management, disciplinary, and grievance processes
  • Coach managers on handling employee issues in a fair and consistent manner

 

Compliance & Employment Practices

  • Ensure compliance with South African labour laws and internal policies
  • Maintain and update employment Handbook, policies, and documentation
  • Provide guidance to managers on best practice employment processes – ensure we have a suite of templated playbooks.

 

Projects & People Initiatives

  • Contribute to people-related projects and initiatives
  • Support organisational changes and growth planning
  • Help design, implement and report on programs to improve employee engagement and experience

 

 

Qualifications:  

 

  • Solid experience working in a People/HR role, ideally as a People Partner or HR Generalist
  • Strong knowledge of South African labour law and employment practices
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Solutions-focused approach to problem solving
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience working in scale-ups and/or global organisations
  • Proven ability to manage operational HR processes while supporting strategic initiatives
  • Experience documenting processes and creating clear, structured playbooks
  • Desire to learn and apply global HR laws and practices across multiple jurisdictions.
