We are now looking to recruit an experienced Compliance Officer - RC (responsable du contrôle du respect des obligations) to join our global team.
Position Overview:
Sonata One Europe is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer (responsable du contrôle du respect des obligations) to ensure robust regulatory compliance across our operations and client mandates. This role is critical in strengthening our governance framework, managing regulatory relationships, and maintaining the highest standards of integrity.
You will act as a key compliance partner to the business, liaising with regulators, external agents, and internal stakeholders to ensure full adherence to Luxembourg requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with Luxembourg AML/CFT/CPF laws, CSSF regulations, data protection laws and AED requirements.
- Act as RC or support the RC function for Sonata One Europe Sàrl and appointed client mandates.
- Implement and maintain AML/CFT/CPF policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Conduct regular risk assessments across clients and operational processes.
- Oversee ongoing monitoring and due diligence processes.
- Manage regulatory reporting to CSSF and AED, ensuring accuracy and punctuality.
- Coordinate annual AML/CFT audits and internal reviews.
- Document findings and ensure timely remediation of issues.
- Serve as the primary compliance contact for internal teams, clients, and external agents.
- Provide guidance on regulatory requirements and emerging risks.
- Manage expectations and proactively address conflicts between compliance obligations and client needs.
- Identify enhancements to compliance frameworks and operational workflows.
- Contribute to process automation and adoption of digital AML tools.
- Support training initiatives and promote a strong compliance culture.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Luxembourg AML/CFT/CPF regulations, CSSF circulars, and AED obligations.
- Prior experience as RC, Deputy RC, or AML Compliance Officer in financial services, ideally in the funds sector.
- Data protection experience and ability to act as Data Protection Officer desirable.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with regulators, clients, and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent stakeholder management, judgement, and communication skills.
- University degree in Law, Finance, Compliance, or related field.
