Product Owner
We’re looking for a Product Owner to join our Toronto office and play a key role in driving the success of our products. You will be responsible for managing and prioritizing the product backlog, defining requirements, and ensuring the development team delivers high-quality solutions that align with business goals. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into actionable development tasks.
Responsibilities

Manage and prioritize the Product Backlog to align with business objectives.

Define sprint goals and ensure the team is focused on key priorities.

Gather, document, and clarify both functional and non-functional requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.

Lead and participate in Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Maintain clear and open communication with stakeholders to align on decisions and direction.

Drive backlog refinement by preparing, clarifying, and improving tasks ahead of sprint planning.

Manage change requests, ensuring operational updates are prioritized and included in upcoming sprints.

Define and enforce acceptance criteria to ensure deliverables meet agreed standards.

Create, update, and maintain epics, user stories, use cases, and edge cases.

Monitor and control requirements to ensure they accurately reflect project status.

Collaborate with stakeholders in OKR planning, supporting goal-setting, tracking progress, and quarterly planning.
What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a Product Owner working independently with requirements.

Strong ability to write user stories, use cases, and detailed tasks for development teams.

Experience turning business ideas into actionable development tasks with minimal guidance.

Demonstrated ownership of the backlog, including prioritization, task assignment, and tracking implementation deadlines.

Excellent communication skills with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
