Human Resources Manager
As we expand our Canadian presence, we are looking for an experienced and reliable HR Manager to support the launch and development of our new office in Ontario. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on structure, precision, and getting things done — someone who can confidently set up, manage, and improve HR functions from the ground up.
About the Role
You will play a hands-on, independent role in establishing our HR function locally, ensuring that all processes are compliant, efficient, and ready to scale. From setting up systems and policies to handling payroll, onboarding, and employee support, you’ll take ownership of the HR essentials that keep a growing office running smoothly.
While recruitment support will be part of your remit, the core of your role will be enabling day-to-day HR effectiveness and long-term stability.
Key Responsibilities
-
Establish and maintain all core HR processes for the Ontario office, including documentation, systems, and reporting.
-
Ensure compliance with federal and provincial labor laws, including proper handling of contracts, records, and employee data.
-
Manage payroll coordination, benefits administration, time-off tracking, and other employment logistics.
-
Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for all employees.
-
Partner with leadership to align HR processes with business goals, headcount plans, and company policies.
-
Provide guidance on employee relations issues, time-off policies, and general HR inquiries.
-
Assist with local hiring needs in collaboration with the global talent team.
-
Maintain accurate records and reporting across all HR areas, supporting audit-readiness and internal consistency.
-
Coordinate with vendors, legal, and finance teams to support benefits, insurance, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
-
5+ years of HR experience, preferably in fast-growing or international organizations.
-
Demonstrated experience in setting up or managing HR for new offices or business units in Canada.
-
Strong knowledge of Canadian and Ontario employment law and HR compliance standards.
-
Organized, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple priorities independently.
-
Skilled communicator with the ability to work effectively with employees, managers, and cross-functional teams.
-
Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving processes and systems.
-
Proficient in HRIS platforms, payroll systems, and digital collaboration tools.
What We Offer
-
A key role in shaping the HR foundation for our Canadian operations.
-
Competitive compensation and benefits.
-
High autonomy, ownership, and exposure to leadership.
-
A professional, structured, and supportive work environment.
-
A chance to contribute meaningfully to a growing international company.
