Senior Data Warehouse & Analytics Specialist

Our organization is undergoing a major evolution of its application landscape, accompanied by a strategic move toward data‑driven decision making.  As a Senior Data Warehouse & Analytics Specialist, you will help shape this future by maintaining and optimizing our current reporting ecosystem while designing new solutions that address emerging data needs. A key part of your responsibility will be to drive the migration from Synapse to our modernized data warehousing environment. 

As part of our central data team, you’ll actively collaborate to tackle complex technical challenges, explore new opportunities, and turn them into real business value. If you're passionate about data and eager to make an impact, we’d love to hear from you! 

 
Your responsibilities will be: 

• Design, maintain, and enhance our Data Warehouse environment
• Add knowledge and insights to the team, both in terms of data warehousing and data visualization
• Ensure high-quality data ingestion processes and drive continuous improvement in our data infrastructure.
• Develop and refine Power BI dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into robust data models and analytical solutions.
• Identify gaps, propose improvements, and safeguard data reliability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with both technical and business teams with a pragmatic, results-driven mindset. 

Your interests and skills 

• Senior-level experience (5+ years recommended) 
• Proven experience with enterprise data warehousing
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Experience with data visualization, preferably Power BI
• Knowledge of SQL and data modeling principles
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes
• Strong communication skills in English, Dutch is nice to have
• Driven to learn new tools, technologies, and methodologies 

Must have: 

• Experience with Power BI and DAX
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics
• Experience with Azure Data Lake
• Experience working in an agile environment 

Nice to have: 

• Knowledge of Python
• Experience with Snowflake
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Experience with SharePoint
• Experience with Salesforce, Bob, Kantata, Tempus, Workato
