Senior Business Analyst (m/f/d)
About the job
We’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst with a consultancy and technical/software background, ideally with experience in the leasing industry. You’ll play a critical role in the preparation phase of complex software implementation projects, working closely with customers to shape requirements, processes, and operational readiness, before the implementation and customer specific development starts.
Our software, "Miles", is an ERP software for finance, leasing, fleet and mobility management in the automotive industry. It is a complex end-to-end solution that includes front, mid and back-office functions and can be extensively customized to the customer's needs through configuration.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Act as a strategic partner of the business in the preparation phase of complex software implementation cycles
- Lead process discovery workshops with customers to map flows, define needs, and identify risks
- Translate business goals into structured requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Support customers in process analysis and future-state design, ensuring alignment with the Miles product teams
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize the backlog and define scope
- Identify blockers or design mismatches early and help steer toward pragmatic solutions
- Ensure complete documentation of flows, decisions, and designs before implementation begins
- Facilitate handovers to delivery teams with full context and validated inputs
Your skills and interests:
- Business fluent in German (C1/C2) and English
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis or IT consultancy
- Technical affinity – ideally with software product experience
- Background or exposure to automotive leasing, finance or closely related business areas is a strong plus
- Experienced in Agile/Scrum, process modeling, and requirement elicitation
- Strong stakeholder communication and workshop facilitation skills
- Proficient with tools like Jira, Confluence, etc.
