We are reviewing our application landscape to bring it in line with our ambitions and to make sure it is scalable. This means we will be adding new applications, but also replace a large part, while maintaining the current applications; we are creating the application roadmap for the coming years.  

As an Application Engineer within the Tooling and Enterprise Architecture team, you will play an important role in managing and optimizing our application landscape. Your primary responsibilities will include providing functional and technical support, managing integrations, and collaborating with key stakeholders across the business.  

This position is crucial for maintaining system efficiency, stability, and seamless integration of new applications as we transition to cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Functional Support 

• Investigate and resolve user inquiries and issues using your experience with application management and effective communication skills, while maintaining a customer-oriented mindset. 

• Collaborate with process owners and application owners to drive process improvements and assess their application impact, leveraging your agile working experience and strong change management skills. 

• Identify and recommend application improvements in partnership with application vendors and system integrators, utilizing your experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft or Boomi and your proactive approach to problem-solving. 

• Technical Support 

• Perform analysis, configuration, and implementation activities, including upgrades and performance enhancements, based on the agreed quarterly roadmap, applying your knowledge of Linux OS and experience with REST APIs, XML, and JSON, while maintaining high attention to detail. 

• Ensure system stability and optimal performance through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting, using your experience with application management and proactive approach to problem-solving. 

• Integrations 

• Create, improve, and manage integrations within the internal landscape, utilizing your experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft or Boomi and your knowledge of REST APIs, XML, and JSON. 
  
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality, leveraging your agile working experience and familiarity with applications such as Atlassian Suite (Confluence, Jira, JSM), Salesforce, and NetSuite, while demonstrating effective communication skills.

Skills & Qualifications: 

• Experience with application management and integrations.

• Experience with REST APIs, XML, and JSON. 

• Experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft or Boomi. 

• Familiarity with applications such as Atlassian Suite (Confluence, Jira, JSM), Salesforce, and NetSuite.
