Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in empowering our business teams with the data they need to drive insights and make informed decisions. With our application landscape undergoing a major transformation, you’ll face exciting challenges in maintaining and evolving our data warehouse to better support our business partners.

Your responsibilities will be: 

• Maintain and enhance the existing Data Warehouse environment. 

• Optimize and improve the Data Ingestion Process. 

• Implement necessary changes to the Data Warehouse and Data Ingestion Process to support evolving business needs. 

• Take a critical approach to ensure fit for purpose solutions are delivered. 

• Collaborate effectively with both direct and indirect colleagues, adopting a pragmatic and results-driven mindset.  

What you bring:  

• Relevant experience for at least 3 years 

• Strong affection for data engineering 

• Experienced in creating and maintaining ETL processes and data warehouses 

• Knowledge of data modeling 

• Troubleshooting and problem-solving mindset 

• Excellent communication skills in English, with fluency in Dutch considered a plus. 

• You are comfortable working in scrum mode, your potential to act as a Scrum Master is a plus.  

Skills necessary for the job: 

• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics 

• Experience with Azure Data Lake 

• Knowledge of DAX 

• Knowledge of SQL 

• Spoken and written English on a professional level 

• Experience in working in an agile environment 

Skills enriching the job: 

• Knowledge of Python 

• Experience with Power BI 

• Experience with Jira 

• Experience with Confluence 

• Knowledge of Dutch 

• Experience with Salesforce CRM and CPQ
