Junior System Administrator

We're looking for a Junior System Administrator to join our team in Sofia, Bulgaria, and provide hands-on technical support to our employees! You’ll be responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across our office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line and second-line support for internal users via Jira Service Desk, Slack, and in-person
- Hardware & Software Management: Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, software, peripherals, and operating systems (primarily macOS).
- Infrastructure Setup: Configure and install laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, CCTV, ACS, and meeting room equipment.
- System Health: Maintain daily health of IT systems, including updates, security patches, and performance monitoring.
- Lifecycle & Documentation: Maintain accurate inventory and lifecycle management of IT assets (Jira Assets) and document resolutions in our internal knowledge base (Confluence).
- Network Admin: Manage and troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi networks, and VPN access (Palo Alto).
- Lifecycle Events: Lead IT onboarding and offboarding, including equipment provisioning, access rights, and security software configuration.
- AV Support: Assist with audio/video and conferencing equipment, including meeting room and media class setups.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with global IT teams for escalations and contribute to the improvement of support processes.
Role Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years in a technical support or system administration role.
- Ticketing & Tools: Strong knowledge of IT support tools, specifically Jira and Confluence.
- Communication: Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Agility: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Mindset: A service-oriented approach with a focus on user experience and reliability.
Nice to Have:
- Platform Expertise: Deep proficiency with macOS systems (Windows experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with MDM systems for managing Apple devices (e.g., Jamf).
- Network Hardware: Hands-on experience with MikroTik and Ubiquiti devices.
- Security & AV: Knowledge of CCTV, access control systems, and AV equipment (Logitech, Crestron).
- Automation: Basic scripting (Bash, PowerShell) for desktop provisioning.
- Frameworks: Understanding of ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks
