That’s where you come in.
We are looking for a Client Operations Manager to be the operational engine of our agency. You will sit at the intersection of our account teams, operations + finance, and our clients, ensuring our work is delivered smoothly, our teams are balanced, and our accounts are profitable. If you love AI and tech tools as much as you love solving problems, we want to talk to you.
What you’ll do
- Protect the margins: Partner with account directors to build accurate Statements of Work (SOWs) and track budgets so we never over-service a contract by accident.
- Balance the workload: Act as the "air traffic controller" for our team's time, managing leave requests, resource allocation, considering freelancer needs, and ensuring no one is overloaded while others have downtime.
- Remove the cruft: Own and evolve our project management tools, systems and processes, building better, faster AI enabled + automated workflows for how we deliver PR campaigns and run seamless operations.
- Bridge the gaps: Maintain all knowledge resources, procedures notes and training materials so all Slingers have access to the correct information at their fingers tips.
What you bring to the table
- Experience: 4+ years in operations, project management, or account management preferably at a PR, marketing, or creative agency, professional services consultancy or working in fast growing scaleups.
- Commercial acumen: You aren't an accountant, but you know your way around a budget, burn rates, and profitability analysis. You love bringing data to help inform decisions.
- Tech build mentality: You’re an AI early adopter and power user of tools like Google Workspace and Gemini, Slack, Mavenlink (or ERPs), Guru, and love finding new ways to connect and automate data sources to create seamless workflows. Bonus points if you’ve played with tools like Zapier, n8n, Claude Code or OpenClaw!
- Tune-in & gumption: You are highly organised and can comfortably hold communications teams accountable to processes and deadlines with empathy and firmness.
- Play: You take your work seriously, but not yourself. You bring the vibes and find new fun and engaging ways to ensure all operational needs are in hand while keeping the team energised.
